Metropolitan Anthony Met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to Russia

On April 29, 2026, a meeting took place between the Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Peru to the Russian Federation, Manuel Augusto de Cossio Klüver.

Metropolitan Anthony thanked the ambassador for the visit and his interest in the Russian Orthodox Church.

The hierarch spoke about the ministry of the Moscow Patriarchate in Latin America and, in particular, in Peru, as well as about the activities of the DECR. The participants in the meeting discussed various topics on the international agenda.

At the conclusion of the conversation, Metropolitan Anthony wished the distinguished guest success in his diplomatic service.

Also taking part in the meeting was the DECR Secretary for Far Abroad Affairs, Archpriest Sergiy Zvonaryov.
