On the Feast of the Resurrection of Christ, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’ sent greetings to His Beatitude Patriarch John X of the Great Antioch and All the East; His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All Palestine; His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia; His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel of Romania; His Holiness Patriarch Daniel of Bulgaria; His Beatitude Archbishop Joani of Tirana and All Albania; His Beatitude Metropolitan Sawa of Warsaw and All Poland; His Beatitude Metropolitan Rostislav of the Czech Lands and Slovakia; His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon of All America and Canada; His Beatitude Archbishop Stefan of Ohrid and Macedonia; and Metropolitan Shio of Senaki and Chkhorotsku, Locum Tenens of the Patriarchal Throne of the Georgian Orthodox Church. CHRIST IS RISEN!

With this joyful and life-affirming ancient salutation I fraternally greet you on the Feast of Feasts and Triumph of Triumphs.

Today, the great mystery of our salvation has been fulfilled, for Christ our passover is sacrificed for us (1 Cor 5:7), reconciling us with God and Father and delivering us from eternal condemnation, so that we too might walk in newness of life (Rom 6:4) and be partakers of the Heavenly Kingdom.

The glad tidings of Easter fill our hearts with profound gratitude to our Maker, encouraging us to follow in the footsteps of the holy apostles in tirelessly proclaiming to those near and those far away the great joy of the Risen Saviour of the world.

May our Lord Jesus Christ grant you good health, longevity and His unceasing help in your Primatial labours, and may He grant peace and well-being to your God-loving flock.
