Clergy of the Moscow Patriarchate in Turkey Attended the Episcopal Consecration of the Bishop of Tartus

On April 25, at the invitation of Archimandrite Pavel (Orduloglo), elected and named Bishop of Tartus, clergy of the communities of the Moscow Patriarchate in the Republic of Turkey, Priest Georgy Sergeev and Hieromonk Pallady (Bystrov), attended the Divine Liturgy and episcopal consecration at the Church of the Holy Archangels Gabriel and Michael in Mersin (Turkey).
The service was led by His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East, concelebrating with hierarchs and clergy of the Antiochian Patriarchate from Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, and Europe. More than 600 faithful from the Orthodox Syrian diaspora living in the regions of Antakya, Mersin, Iskenderun, and Hatay were present at the service.
During the service, petitions in the litanies were pronounced in Arabic, Turkish, Greek, and Church Slavonic.
After the conclusion of the service, clergy of the Moscow Patriarchate warmly congratulated the newly consecrated Bishop of Tartus Pavel and presented him with a commemorative panagia as a gift.
The celebration concluded with a festive meal and fraternal fellowship of clergy and faithful.
