Administrator of the Patriarchal exarchate for Western Europe heads patronal feast day for the Church of the Archangel Michael in Altee.

On 21^st November 2025 on the feast of the Synaxis of the Archangel Michael and Bodiless Powers of Heaven, the metropolitan of Ryazan and Mikhailov Mark, the administrator of the Patriarchal exarchate for Western Europe and administrator of the diocese of Spain and Portugal, as part of his archpastoral visit to Spain celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Archangel Michael on the occasion of the patronal feast day of the church.

Concelebrating with the archpastor were: the bishop of Sourozh Matthew, parish rector Father Yaroslav Pirkovsky, dean of the parishes of Spain archimandrite Seraphim (Pavlov), archpriest Yaroslav Dibach, archpriest Sergei Prosandeyev, Father Valery Baidak, Father Viktor Dorofeyev, Father Sergei Stopuryak, Father Michel Hillenbrand, secretary of the diocesan administration deacon Gleb Zaika and deacon Andrei Vedyashkin, reports the diocesan website.

After the dismissal a procession of the cross took place around the church and short service of glorification was held before the icon of Saint Michael the Archangel.

Then metropolitan Mark delivered a homily to the clergy and worshippers present and congratulated those who were celebrating their name’s day, among whom was church benefactor Mikhail Botsko.

In his reply, the rector of the church Father Yaroslav Pirkovsky thanked metropolitan Mark for his archpastoral visit and presented him with a gift of an icon of Saint Michael.

At the festive meal in the refectory clergy and guests continued their conversations.
