On December 12, 2024, a telephone conversation took place between His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' and His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Great Antioch and All the East.

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill assured the Primate of the Antiochian Patriarchate of prayers for His Beatitude and the entire Antiochian Orthodox Church, which is currently undergoing difficult trials. "The Russian people are close to your people, and our Church is close to your Church, Your Beatitude. I want to express our support and our hope that the temporary difficulties will pass, and peace and justice will be with you and your people. We will do everything possible to continue providing all the assistance we can to the Holy Antiochian Church. It is very important that our Churches continue to maintain the close contacts we have developed," said His Holiness Patriarch Kirill.

His Beatitude Patriarch John informed his interlocutor about the current situation in various parts of Syria, the circumstances of the Antiochian Church’s life, and expressed gratitude to His Holiness for prayers, care, and support, sharing hope for future meetings.

During the conversation, which took place in an atmosphere of brotherly love, various issues of bilateral relations were discussed.
