DECR chairman receives hierarch of the Georgian Orthodox Church

On 25 January 2011, Metropolitan Hilarion, the DECR chairman, met with Metropolitan Nikolai of Akhalkalak and Kumurdoi (Georgian Orthodox Church). The meeting was held at the DECR premises in a friendly cordial atmosphere. The hierarchs discussed the state and prospects of bilateral relations between the Russian and Georgian Orthodox Churches.

Taking part in the meeting was Rev. Igor Yakimchuk, DECR secretary for Inter-Orthodox relations.
