Metropolitan Vladimir of Kiev and All Ukraine receives delegation from Dochiariou Monastery on Mount Athos

On September 10, 2011, His Beatitude Vladimir, Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine, head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, received a delegation from the Dochiariou Monastery on Mount Athos, at the metropolitan’s residence at the Kiev Laura of the Caves.

They discussed a possibility for bringing over to Ukraine the miracle-working copy of the Icon of Our Lady ‘Quick to Hearken’, a shrine of the Dochiariou Monastery, the official website of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church reported.

Present at the meeting was Archbishop Alexander of Pereyaslavl-Khmelnitsky and Vishnevo, head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church’s department for external church relations.
