Patriarch Kirill sends wishes of many happy returns to Belarus’s President Lukashenko

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill has sent the following message of greeting to President Lukashenko of the Republic of Belarus on the occasion of his birthday:

Dear Alexander Grigoryevich,

Many happy returns of the day.

Working in the high and important office of President of the Republic of Belarus for many years, you have gained the love of your people who see in you not only a political leader and head of state but also a man who takes care of ordinary citizens of your country.

It is gratifying to see that you give special attention to the consolidation of relation between fraternal Slavic nations and to the spiritual and moral state of society and give all possible support to the Byelorussian Orthodox Church.

I wish you and your people good health, peace of the soul and abundant help of God in every good initiative.

May the Lord give all the people of the Republic welfare and prosperity.
