DECR Chairman Meets with Representative of the Sovereign Order of Malta to Russia

On 8th July 2026, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, met with Mr Aimone di Savoia Aosta, Head of the Diplomatic Mission of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and Malta to the Russian Federation.
Metropolitan Anthony warmly welcomed the high-ranking diplomat to the Synodal institution responsible for international relations of the Russian Orthodox Church.
The participants in the meeting discussed various topics of mutual interest.
Taking part in the meeting was also Ms Giovanna Parravicini, Counsellor to the Mission of the Order of Malta in Moscow.
