Patriarchal Certificates of appreciation presented to members of the Expert Council for Interaction with the Islamic World

On the 20th of August 2026, Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, presented church awards to two members of the DECR Expert Council for Interaction with the Islamic World.

With the blessing of the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarchal Certificates of Appreciation were presented to I.A. Svistunova, Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Middle Eastern Studies of the Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IMEMO RAS), in recognition of her assistance to the Department for External Church Relations and on the occasion of a milestone birthday, and to A.D. Redkozubov, freelance staff member of the Information and Analytical Sector of the Synodal Department for Relations with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, in recognition of his labours for the benefit of the Holy Church.

The awards ceremony took place at the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate.

I.A. Svistunova and A.D. Redkozubov expressed their profound gratitude to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’ for the high appreciation of their contribution to efforts to maintain and develop Orthodox-Muslim dialogue, emphasizing their readiness to continue working for the benefit of the Russian Orthodox Church.
