Metropolitan Anthony meets with the head of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia

On 7th September 2026, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, met with Mufti Albir Krganov, Chairman of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia.
Taking part in the meeting, held on the DECR premises, were also Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov, DECR Deputy Chairman, and Priest Iliya Kashitsyn, DECR Secretary for Interfaith Relations.
The participants in the meeting discussed a number of issues on the agenda of interfaith relations in Russia and other countries, as well as prospects of cooperation with various international organizations.
An exchange of gifts marked the end of the meeting.
