Representatives of Christian churches in Asia visit St. Vladimir Cathedral in Chiang Mai, Thailand

On 19th April 2026, with the blessing of the Patriarchal Exarch of South-East Asia, Metropolitan Sergy of Singapore and South-East Asia, Temporary Administrator of the Diocese of Thailand, a group of representatives of the Christian churches from the Republic of Korea, India, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Myanmar visited the Church of the Holy Prince Vladimir, Equal-to-the-Apostles, in the city of Chiang Mai, Kingdom of Thailand, website of the Thailand Diocese reports.
The guests attended the Divine Liturgy. After that, the church rector, Priest Pavel Srisumoro, said a few words about the activities of the Russian Orthodox Church in Thailand and gave a general overview of the Orthodox worship and doctrine.
The visit was organized within the framework of cooperation between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Christian Conference of Asia and was timed to the Fifth Asian Ecumenical Youth Assembly held in Chiang Mai on 17th – 21st April 2026.
Mr Danil Arakelyan of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations helped organize the visit.
