DECR Chairman completes his visit to Japan

On March 29, 2023, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate Department for External Church Relations, completing his visit to Japan, visited the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Japan to meet with G. A. Ovechko, counsellor of the Embassy.
They were joined in their talk by Yu. V. Altukhov, representative of the consular department of the Russian embassy in Japan; Archpriest Nikolay Katsyuban, rector the Russian Orthodox Church representation in Japan - the Church of St. Alexander Nevsky in Tokyo, Rev. Alexander Yershov, assistant to the DECR chairman, and P. N. Katsuban.
After the meeting, Metropolitan Anthony conveyed to the embassy an Icon of St. Mark of Ephesus, the heavenly patron of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate.
