In His Own Words book by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill is published in the Serbian language

DECR Communication Service, 21.12.2022.

The “Poznanie” Publishing House in cooperation with the Ss Cyril and Methodius Theological Institute of Post-Graduate Studies and the Russkiy Mir Foundation has published a Serbian version of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill’s book In His Own Words

It contains excerpts from sermons, scholarly articles, presentations, speeches, books and interviews, covering a period of more than thirty-five years of His Holiness’ pastoral ministry, the publishers’ website reports.

The reader will come to know His Holiness as a pastor of Christ’s Church, as a thinker engaged with contemporary topics, and as a person with deep spiritual experience and a unique gift for preaching. There are three hundred and sixty-six excerpts from sayings and thoughts of the Primate for every day of the year in the book.

It is said in the introduction by Metropolitan Hilarion of Budapest and Hungary that as First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill is first of all concerned for his Church and flock; he seeks answers to questions relevant to the faithful living in Russia and abroad. When opening the book, the reader ought not to forget that at the basis of Patriarch Kirill’s varied activities there lies a principle that he considers fundamental: ministry to God and the Church in all things and without reservation.

The publication of the book in the Serbian language is one more way of getting Christians in Serbia better acquainted with His Holiness the Patriarch as a person and also with his ministry.

The German version of the book was published earlier this month.
