Clerics of the Diocese of Vienna-Austria visited inmates of the Stein Correctional Institution in Krems

With the blessing of Bishop Alexii of Vienna and Austria, Archpriest Radoslav Ristic, accompanied by Deacon Nikolai Markovic, visited Orthodox prisoners held in the Stein Correctional Institution in Krems, Austria.

The clergy performed a prayer service and Liturgy in the prison church, the diocesan website reported on 24 July. The services were followed by a spiritual discussion, at the conclusion of which some of the prisoners also went to the Sacrament of Confession.

During the visit, the clergymen also discussed with the prison authorities and Catholic prison chaplain Leszek Urbanowicz issues of further co-operation and resumption of spiritual care for Orthodox prisoners, interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic.
