Divine Liturgy was traditionally celebrated at Hebron Metochion of Russian Ecclesiastical Mission on third day after Pentecost

On June 25, the third day after Pentecost, Archimandrite Vassian (Zmeyev), head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem, officiated at the Divine Liturgy at the Mission’s Metochion in Hebron – the Church of the Holy Forefathers, website of the Mission reports.
Concelebrating with Archimandrite Vassian was an assembly of clergymen that included Hegumen Nikon (Golovko), deputy head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission; sacristans of the Mission’s metochions – Hieromonk Amvrosy (Ignatov) of the Church of the Holy Forefathers in Hebron, Archpriest Miroslav Vitiv of the Church of Prophet Elijah in Haifa, Archpriest Nikolai Zhdanov of the Church of St. Tabitha in Jaffa and Hieromonk Matfei (Kozlov) of the Metochion located at the Baptism Site in Jordan; as well as Priest Viktor Klinshov of the Gorny Convent in Ein Karem; Priest Nicholas Cragle of the Orthodox Church in America; Deacon Makary Petukhov of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem; and Hierodeacon Amphilochy (Mazur) of the Convent of St. Mary Magdalene in Gethsemane of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.
Among those who attended the Divine Liturgy were Mr Gocha Buachidze, head of the diplomatic mission of the Russian Federation to the Palestinian National Authority; a staff member of the Mission N. Kozhemyak; abbesses of three Russian convents in Jerusalem – Hegumenesses Yekaterina (Chernyshova), Yelisaveta (Shmelts) and Varvara (Novikova); sisters of those convents; Mr Yury Romashuk, representative of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission to the Palestinian National Authority; and numerous representatives of the Arabic-speaking Orthodox communities of Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
After the Liturgy, the clergy, nuns and pilgrims went on a procession of the cross to the Oak of Mamre – the main shrine of the Mission’s Metochion in Hebron. There, Archimandrite Vassian read out a prayer to the Holy Trinity and sprinkled holy water on the faithful.
After that, a repast was offered to the guests at the Hebron Metochion. It was attended, among others, by Dr. Rafiq Al-Jabari, deputy governor of Hebron, head of the National Committee for Strategic Planning.
