Metropolitan Joanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral celebrates memorial service for Bishop Antonije (Pantelić) at his grave in Moscow

On June 15, Metropolitan Joanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral celebrated a memorial service at the grave of Bishop Antonije (Pantelić) buried at the walls of the Church of Saints Peter and Paul by the Yauza Gates – Metochion of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Moscow, website of the Diocese of Montenegro and the Littoral reports.
For over two decades, from 2002 to his untimely death, Bishop Antonije had served as Representative of the Serbian Patriarch to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’. He passed away in the Lord on March 11, 2024, following a severe long-term illness. The funeral service was conducted by the Primates of the Russian and the Serbian Orthodox Churches at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow.
Among those who attended and prayed at the memorial service was Bishop Stefan of Remesiana, rector of the Serbian Metochion in Moscow, Representative of the Serbian Patriarch to the Moscow Patriarchal Throne.
