Rector of the Russian Church Metochion in Sofia attends opening of academic year at School of Russian Embassy in Bulgaria

On September 1, a ceremonial assembly marking the beginning of the new academic year was held at the school of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Bulgaria. Archpriest Vladimir Tyshchuk, Rector of the Metochion of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’ in Sofia, took part in the event.

Welcoming addresses to the pupils, teachers and parents were delivered by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Bulgaria E.V. Mitrofanova and school principal S.I. Kotov.

Also present at the ceremony were Consul General of the Russian Federation A.D. Medvedev, Director of the Moscow House in Sofia B.A. Gromov, staff members of the Russian Embassy in Bulgaria, teachers, pupils and their parents, states the website of the Metochion.
