His Holiness Patriarch Kirill Presided over the Regular Meeting of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church

On July 16, 2026, at the Patriarchal and Synodal Residence at the Danilov Monastery in Moscow, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' presided over the regular meeting of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Opening the meeting, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church welcomed the members of the Holy Synod and announced the agenda.

Taking part in the meeting are:

permanent members of the Holy Synod: Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and All Moldova; Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, head of the Metropolitan District in the Republic of Kazakhstan; Metropolitan Vincent of Tashkent and Uzbekistan, head of the Central Asian Metropolitan District; Metropolitan Barsanuphius of St. Petersburg and Ladoga; Metropolitan Pavel of Krutitsy and Kolomna, Patriarchal Exarch of the Moscow Metropolitan Area; Metropolitan Benjamin of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus; Metropolitan Gregory of Voskresensk, Chancellor of the Moscow Patriarchate; Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate; Metropolitan Nikandr of Vladimir and Suzdal, Chairman of the Financial and Economic Administration of the Moscow Patriarchate;

temporary members of the Holy Synod: Metropolitan Constantine of Cairo and North Africa, Patriarchal Exarch of Africa; Bishop Stephen of Kanash and Belovolzhsk; Bishop Mitrophan of Gatchina and Luga; Bishop Sergius of Novorossiysk and Gelendzhik; Bishop Seraphim of Biysk and Belokurikha.
