Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk attends annual meeting of Organizing Committee of the Days of Russian Spiritual Culture in foreign countries

On December 24, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation hosted the annual meeting of the Organizing Committee of the Days of Russia in foreign countries, including spiritual events. The meeting was chaired jointly by Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, chairman the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations (DECR); Mr. Alexander A. Pankin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia; and Mr. Andrei V. Malyshev, Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia.

The meeting was also attended by Ms. Yelena V. Galaktionova, director of the Department for Multilateral Humanitarian Cooperation and Cultural Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia; Ms. Anna A. Gribanova, director of the State Support of Arts and Folk Art Department of the Ministry of Culture of Russia; Ms. Alina A. Ivashchenko, secretary of the Organizing Committee and Head of the International Cultural Cooperation Division at the Department of Museums and External Affairs of the Ministry of Culture of Russia; Ms. Svetlana A. Kondratieva, director of the “Russian Seasons” autonomous non‑profit organization; Archpriest Sergy Zvonarev, DECR secretary for far abroad countries; hierodeacon Alexy (Ochkanov), a staff member of the DECR secretariat for far abroad countries; as well as other participants.

During the meeting, the results of the events held in 2025 were summarized, and proposals regarding countries where the Days' events are planned to take place in 2026 were discussed.
