DECR Chairman meets with Locum Tenens of the Metropolitan See of the Japanese Orthodox Church

On September 8, in the Resurrection Cathedral in Tokyo (Nikolai-Do), Chairman the Moscow Patriarchate Department for External Church Relations Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk met with Archbishop Seraphim of Sendai, Locum Tenens of the Metropolitan See of the Autonomous Japanese Orthodox Church.

On behalf of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, DECR Chairman greeted Archbishop Seraphim. His Eminence Anthony conveyed His Holiness’ wishes of God’s help in the work for the good of the Autonomous Japanese Orthodox Church.

In conclusion of the meeting, which was held in a warm fraternal atmosphere, the participants exchanged commemorative gifts for the memory of the meeting.
