First Liturgy celebrated in Togo

On 11th June on the Sunday of All Saints, the first Divine Liturgy for the local community of the Russian Orthodox Church was celebrated in Lomé, the capital city of the Togolese Republic.

The website of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa reports that the Liturgy was celebrated by Father Boris Pitasso.

Father Boris was ordained to the priesthood on 13th April of this year by Metropolitan Leonid of Klin, the Patriarchal Exarch to Africa, at the Divine Liturgy at All Saints Church ‘na Kulishakh’ in Moscow.

He was trained in liturgical practice in various churches and monasteries, including the Sretensky monastery and the Saint Nicholas monastery of Ugresha, All Saints Church ‘na Kulishakh’,
Saint Nicholas Church in Novaya Sloboda and Holy Trinity Church on Sparrow Hills.
