Representatives of Theological Schools of the Serbian Orthodox Church Spoke at a Scientific Conference at the Kuzbass Theological Seminary

On April 28–29, 2026, the IX All-Russian scientific and practical conference with international participation, “Christian Witness: History and Modernity,” was held at the Kuzbass Theological Seminary (Novokuznetsk). The forum, chaired by Metropolitan Aristarkh of Kemerovo and Prokopyevsk and Rector of the Kuzbass Theological Seminary Priest Andrei Moyarenko, brought together numerous speakers and guests, including representatives of theological schools of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
The Theological Seminary in Sremski Karlovci (Serbia) was represented by the rector of this educational institution, Archpriest Jovan Milanović, who delivered a report on “The Importance of Studying the Theology of Gregory Palamas in Contemporary Conditions,” and by lecturer B. Grujičić with a report entitled “The Essence and Factors of Autocephaly According to Professor Sergey Viktorovich Troitsky.”
From the Cetinje Theological Seminary (Montenegro), participants included the rector of the theological school, Archpriest Blagoe Rajković, with a report “The Missionary and Educational Ministry of Metropolitan Amfilohije Radović in Montenegro,” and lecturer A. Mishchenko, who delivered a report on “The Preservation of Faith in Albania after 1945.”
Also speaking at the conference was Associate Professor of the Pontifical Lateran University, Professor of the Higher Theological Seminary “Mary Queen of the Apostles” (St. Petersburg), Priest Mariano José Sedano Sierra, with a report on “War and Peace: Just War or an Unarmed and Disarmed Peace?”
A staff member of the Secretariat for Inter-Orthodox Relations of the DECR, Associate Professor of the Department of Church History at the Moscow Theological Academy, A.Yu. Khoshev, presented a report entitled “The Peacemaking Activity of the Russian Orthodox Church during the Civil War in Bosnia and Herzegovina (1992–1995).”
Among the guests at the forum were students of the Saint Petersburg Theological Academy from the Serbian Orthodox Church, M. Dimkovich and V. Sholaya, as well as representatives of the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage.
