Hierarch of the Serbian Patriarchate visits Department for External Church Relations

On 3^rd August 2026, a hierarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Bishop Jovan of Pakrac and Slavonia, who had arrived in Russia on a private visit with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’, visited the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate and met with the DECR Deputy Chairman, Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov.

They were joined in the meeting by Mr A.Yu. Khoshev of the DECR Secretariat for Inter-Orthodox Relations and interpreter S.A. Luganskaya.

Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov and Bishop Jovan had a warm conversation, during which the guest told about the life of his diocese and shared his impressions of his visit to the Russian capital. The participants in the meeting discussed current relations between the Russian and the Serbian Orthodox Churches and the peoples under their spiritual guidance and prospects of their further development, and exchanged memorable gifts.
