Photo exhibition takes place in the capital of Chile on the occasion of the eightieth anniversary of the diocese of Argentina and South America.

At the Russia House in the capital of Chile Santiago, a photo exhibition was held on the occasion of the eightieth anniversary of the diocese of Argentina, which aroused the interest of the visitors.

As the diocesan website reports on 14^th July 2026, throughout the course of the week, parishioners from churches of the Local Orthodox Churches in the region, people of other confessions, local people and members of the diplomatic community came to see the exhibition.

One of the highlights for the guests was the excursion led by the exhibition’s curator the rector of the Church of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologia Father Juan Cintrecura. During the excursion Father Juan explained the historical context of the contents of the works on display, spoke of the little known episodes of the beginnings of the diocese and demonstrated how the Orthodox community over eight decades had preserved the faith, traditions and their unique identity in South America.
