New issue of Church and Time journal comes out

The 111^th issue of the Church and Time – a journal covering scholarly, theological, ecclesiastical and social topics – has come out. The journal is published with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’ by the Sts. Cyril and Methodius Theological Institute of Postgraduate Studies in collaboration with the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate.

As the Telegram channel of the Sts. Cyril and Methodius Theological Institute reports, included in the current issue are the following papers on theology, history of the Russian Church and relations between the Local Orthodox Churches:

· by A.S. Ryzhenkov on the Karamanlides – the Orthodox Turkophones of Anatolia and their cultural identity;

· by S.F. Mikheyev on the transfer of the Kiev Metropolia to Moscow in 1686 and its legal validation;

· by Priest Ilia Kosykh, presenting a review of “The 1953 Council” file from the Synodal Archive of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia;

· by Priest Antony Borisov on the attitude of the Russian Church to Non-Orthodoxy in historical and canonical perspective;

· by Bishop Siluan of Petergof on the church understanding of the present-day bioethical challenges, such as euthanasia, transplantology, etc.
