DECR Communication Service, 24/03/2026
On 18th March 2026, a cultural and educational event entitled “Children Paint in Church” took place at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Paris, bringing together local Russian-speaking children, including pupils of Sunday schools and other educational institutions.
The event was organized by the Diocese of Korsun, the Russian Orthodox Spiritual and Cultural Centre in Paris, Osmose France-Russie Association and painter Tamara Semyonova from St. Petersburg, diocesan website reports.
The space for children’s creative work was organized in the central part of the church. There, under teachers’ guidance, children were making pastel drawings on the “Guardian Angel” theme.
Priest Georgy Sheshko, head of the Department of Culture of the Korsun Diocese, and Ms Daria Nedelina-Shvets, President of Osmose France-Russie, addressed the young painters with words of encouragement.
The best drawings will be selected for an Easter exhibition which will take place at the Russian Orthodox Spiritual and Cultural Centre in Paris during the Bright Week.
