His Holiness Patriarch Kirill heads scheduled session of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church.

On 30^th October 2025 His Holiness the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’ Kirill headed a scheduled session of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church at the Patriarchal and Synodal residence of Saint Daniel’s monastery in Moscow.

Opening the session, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church gave a short address of greetings to the members of the Holy Synod, after which the Synod started work on the agenda, reports the press service of the Patriarch.

Attending the session of the Holy Synod were: the metropolitan of Chișinău and all Moldova Vladimir; the metropolitan of Astana and Kazakhstan Alexander, head of the metropolitan district of Kazakhstan; the metropolitan of Tashkent and Uzbekistan Vikenty, head of the Central Asian metropolitan district; the metropolitan of Saint Petersburg and Ladoga Barsonophius; the metropolitan of Krutitsk and Kolomna Paul, Patriarchal assistant for the Moscow metropolitanate; the metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslava Benjamin, Patriarchal exarch for Belarus; the metropolitan of Voskresensk Gregory, chancellor of the Moscow Patriarchy; the metropolitan of Volokolamsk Anthony, chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate; and the metropolitan of Vladimir and Suzdal Nicander, chairman of the finance and economics department of the Moscow Patriarchate.

Also attending were the temporary members of the Holy Synod: the metropolitan of Voronezh and Liski Leontius; the bishop of Birobidzhan and Kuldur Luke; the bishop of Almetievsk and Bugulma Philaret; and the bishop of Yeniseisk and Lesosibirsk Ignatius.
