DECR Chairman and Patriarchal Exarch of Western Europe celebrate at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Paris

On December 10, the 27^th Sunday after Pentecost and feast day of the “Sign” icon of the Most Holy Theotokos, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Religions, currently on a working visit to France with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’, and Metropolitan Nestor of Chersonesus and Western Europe, Patriarchal Exarch of Western Europe, celebrated Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity in Paris.

The archpastors were assisted by Rev. Maxim Politov, secretary of the Chersonesus diocesan administration, and clerics of the cathedral, including archpriest Igor Trofim, Rev. Ioann Dimitrov, Rev. Georgy Sheshko, hieromonk Iriney (Gribov), Rev. Antoniy Sidenko, protodeacon Nikolai Rebinder, deacon Roman Onika, and hierodeacon Dionisiy (Volkov).

Singing at the divine service, which was celebrated in Church Slavonic and French, was the cathedral choir conducted by Ms Marina Politova, website of the Chersonesus diocese reports.

Hieromonk Iriney (Gribov) delivered a sermon before Holy Communion.

The Liturgy being over, Patriarchal Exarch of Western Europe warmly greeted the high guests and thanked him for his kindness and sympathy and also for every assistance rendered by the Department for External Church Relations to the activities of the Diocese of Chersonesus and the entire Exarchate of Western Europe.

Metropolitan Anthony thanked Metropolitan Nestor for hearty welcome and common prayers at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Paris and conveyed blessing and best wishes of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’ to the worshippers.
