Primate of the Orthodox Church in America receives the Chancellor of the Patriarchal Parishes in the United States

On February 20th, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon of all America and Canada, received the Chancellor of Patriarchal Parishes in the United States, Rector of St. Nicholas Cathedral in New York, Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov. The meeting took place at the temporary office of the Orthodox Church in America in Springfield, Virginia.

Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov thanked His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon for the opportunity of the meeting and expressed his willingness to assist in every way possible in strengthening the brotherly relationship between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Orthodox Church in America.

His Beatitude told the recently appointed Chancellor of the Patriarchal Parishes in the United States about the current development of Orthodox life in the Americas and gave his blessing for his future endeavors, the website of the Patriarchal Parishes reports.

The meeting was also attended by the Vice Chancellor of Patriarchal Parishes in the United States, Priest Mark Rashkov, Secretary of the Orthodox Church in America, Priest Alessandro Margheritino, and Executive Assistant to the Chancellor of the Orthodox Church in America, Priest John Mikitish.
