The Maronite Patriarch receives the representative of the Russian Orthodox Church.

On 7th February the Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros al-Rahi in his official residence in Bkerké in Lebanon received the representative of the Russian Orthodox Church to the Patriarchal Throne of Antioch archimandrite Philipp (Vasiltsev).
Archimandrite Philipp congratulated the Maronite Patriarch on recent feast days and presented him with a gift of an album entitled The Primate, published on the occasion of the seventy-fifth birthday of His Holiness the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill.
As reported by the site of the metochion of the Russian Orthodox Church in Beirut, during the lengthy conversation a wide spectrum of issues of mutual interest were discussed.
