Bishop of the Orthodox Church in America serves at Saint Nicholas Cathedral in New York

On 29th January, at the invitation of the acting administrator of the Patriarchal parishes of the USA the bishop of Sourozh Matthew, the hierarch of the Orthodox Church in America the archbishop of Chicago and the West Daniel headed the Divine Liturgy at the Saint Nicholas Cathedral in New York.
Serving with the bishop were: the cathedral dean and chancellor of the Patriarchal parishes in the USA archpriest Igor Vyzhanov, the secretary of archbishop Daniel and sacristan of the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Chicago Father Alexander Coranda and Father Mark Rashkov, the vice-chancellor of the Patriarchal parishes in the USA. At the end of the Divine Liturgy archbishop Daniel congratulated all those gathered on the day of the resurrection and delivered a homily to the faithful on the Gospel reading which was proclaimed at the Divine Liturgy.
On behalf of bishop Matthew, the clergy and the parishioners of the cathedral archpriest Igor Vyzhanov thanked archbishop Daniel for the joy of prayerful communion and as a souvenir of the service celebrated, he presented him with a gift of an icon containing images of the builders of the Saint Nicholas Cathedral, that is, Saint Tikhon the Patriarch of All Russia and the holy priest-martyr Alexander Khotovitsky.
The archbishop, clergy and parishioners continued their conversation with each other at the meal afterwards, reports the site of the Patriarchal parishes in the USA.
