Meeting with the the Deputy Head of the Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross takes place at the DECR

On the 27th of January the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate hosted a meeting between the DECR secretary for far-abroad countries affairs, Archpriest Sergei Zvonarev, and Mr Irene Erbe, Deputy Head of the Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Russian Federation, Republic of Belarus and Moldova. Petr Levin, Humanitarian Policy Adviser of the Regional Delegation and Artyom Churliaev, Adviser of the Armed Forces Section of the Regional Delegation had also taken part in the meeting.
Participants of the meeting discussed the experience of cooperation between DECR and the ICRC Regional Delegation, including the round table "The Second World War in the Humanitarian Dimension: Past and Present Experience" held in January 2020 at the Federation Council within the framework of the International Christmas Educational Readings. Issues of providing humanitarian aid to refugees from the territory of Ukraine and to those living in the war zone were touched upon, and plans for future cooperation had been outlined.
