DECR vice-chairman takes part in the patronal feast of the Serbian church representation in Moscow
On July 12, 2021, the commemoration day of Holy Glorious and All-Praised First Hierarchal Apostles Peter and Paul, the patronal celebrations were held at Moscow Representation of the Serbian Orthodox Church - the Ss Peter and Paul church-on-the-Yauza.
The festive liturgy was celebrated by the Metropolitan Niphon of Philippopolis, representative of the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, and Bishop Anthony of Moravici. Archpriest Nikolay Balashov, vice-chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, Archimandrite Seraphim (Shemyatovsky), representative of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia to the Moscow Patriarchate See, Archpriest Daniel Andreyuk, representative of the Orthodox Church in America, and the clergy of the SS Peter and Paul church concelebrated.
After the Divine Liturgy the thanksgiving was celebrated.
In his address after the service, Bishop Anthony of Moravici thanked Metropolitan Niphon of Philippopolis for the joyful opportunity to pray together and greeted the congregation on the occasion of the feast.
On his part, Metropolitan Niphon expressed gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate the Liturgy on the day of the patronal feast of the Serbian Moscow Representation, which testifies to the unity of Local Orthodox Churches.
