Russia’s ambassador to Israel meets with His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem

On May 16, 2021, a meeting took place in Jerusalem between the Russian Federation’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Israel Mr. A. Viktorov and His Beatitude Theophilos III, Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All the Palestine.

Present at the meeting were Archimandrite Alexander (Elisov), head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem, and his deputy head Hieromonk Dometian (Markarian).

The sides discussed issues of church-diplomatic relationships of primary importance.
