Chancellor of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church meets with rectors of churches captured in Rovno Region

On March 8, 2021, with a blessing of His Beatitude Onufriy, Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church’s chancellor Metropolitan Anthony of Borispol and Brovary met with rectors of the parishes in the diocese of Rovno and Polesye whose churches have been captured by schismatics.

His Eminence Anthony thanked the priests for their painstaking service and wished them fortitude and God’s help at a time of trial. The parish rectors, on their part, asked him to convey the words of gratitude from their religious communities for his support and asked for his prayers.

According to a report of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church’s information and education department with reference to the Metropolitan Anthony’s Facebook page, in the conclusion of the meeting the archpastor gifted to the aggrieved parishes communion tables, alters, Eucharistic kits, communion- table Gospels, cast plates and other church vessels.

Earlier, on February 22, Metropolitan Anthony conveyed the needful church vessels to the affected parishes in Volhynia.
