Diocesan Council of Berlin and Germany Diocese meets in Berlin

On 12th March 2026, the Diocesan Council of the Berlin and Germany Diocese held its meeting under the chairmanship of Archbishop Tikhon of Ruza, Administrator of the Diocese. The meeting took place at the Church of the Holy Great Prince Vladimir in Marzahn, Berlin.
Prior to the meeting, the Rector of St. Vladimir Church, Archpriest Pyotr Pakholkov, celebrated a prayer service.
Archbishop Tikhon of Ruza delivered an opening address. The Council members heard reports from Priest Maxim Yudakov, who is in charge of educational program for students of the Berlin and Germany Diocese at the Distance Learning Department of the Minsk Theological Seminary, and from Priest Alexy Veselov, head of the Orthodox Theological School of Distance Learning.
The participants in the meeting approved a topic for the All-German Congress of Orthodox Youth organized by the Diocese of Berlin and Germany, which will take place in Braunlage, Saxony-Anhalt, from 29th October to 1st November 2026.
Hegumen Maxim (Schmidt), Secretary of the Diocesan Council, spoke about the date and venue of the Diocesan Assembly and the Pastoral Conference of the Berlin and Germany Diocese.
The Council members also considered candidates for priestly ordination, website of the Berlin and Germany Diocese reports.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a resolution was adopted.
