Blessing of a plot of land takes place at Apostle Mark Parish in Meru Deanery, Kenya, for a church to be built there later
DECR Communication Service, 16/03/2026
In the early March 2026, at the Apostle Mark Parish in the Meru Deanery in Kenya, the parish rector, Priest Timothy Mugambi, performed the blessing of a new plot of land, purchased with financial support from benefactors of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa.
There are plans to build a church and open a small farm there, the Exarchate’s website reported on 15th March.
The first thing Father Timothy and parishioners did on the new land was to plant tea sprigs.
