A representative of the Russian Church takes part in the traditional Christmas greeting of His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch

On December 25, the feast of the Nativity of Christ according to the Revised Julian calendar, His Beatitude John X, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, received traditional greetings in the Throne Hall of the Patriarchate of Antioch from vicar bishops, clergy, and laity of the parishes in Damascus.

Greeting the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Antioch were also representatives of Syrian government institutions, the diplomatic corps, the Muslim community of Syria, and social and cultural organizations.

On behalf of the Metochion of the Russian Orthodox Church in Damascus, His Beatitude was greeted by Archimandrite Philip (Vasiltsev), representative of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’ to the Antiochian Patriarchal Throne; Mr. Nasrallah Hassan Faez, director of the Msana Centre for Pediatric Prosthetics and Rehabilitation operating at the Metochion, staff members of the Centre, and parishioners of the Metochion, its website reports.
