DECR Chairman takes part in the work of an Interreligious Forum in Rome

On October 26, 2025, the opening of an interreligious forum, annually held by the Catholic Community of Sant'Egidio, took place at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. This year's meeting is held under the slogan "Daring to Peace."

With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Rus', the Russian Orthodox Church is represented at the event by the Chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate's Department for External Church Relations, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk.

During the solemn opening ceremony, the participants were addressed by: President of the Italian Republic S. Mattarella; Queen Mathilde of Belgium; Founder of the Community of Sant'Egidio A. Riccardi; President of the Italian Episcopal Conference Cardinal Matteo Zuppi; Mayor of Rome R. Gualtieri; and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Ahmed Al-Tayeb.

Among the participants of the forum are His Beatitude Archbishop John of Tirana and All Albania, the Primate of the Assyrian Church of the East Catholicos-Patriarch Mar Awa III, and other high-level guests.
