Metropolitan Anthony сelebrates Divine Liturgy at the сhurch of St. Catherine in Rome

On October 26, 2025, the Chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate's Department for External Church Relations, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Holy Great Martyr Catherine in Rome.

The hierarch had arrived in the Italian capital the day before, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Rus', to participate in the interreligious forum organized by the Catholic Community of Sant'Egidio.

During the Liturgy, the archpastor was assisted by: the rector of the church, Hieromonk Ambrose (Matsegora), Secretary of the Administration of the Parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate in Italy; Hieromonk Kirill (Porubaev); and Priest Nikolai Vasin, Secretary to the DECR Chairman.

At the conclusion of the service, Metropolitan Anthony delivered a sermon.

Afterwards, on behalf of the clergy and parishioners, Hieromonk Ambrose congratulated His Eminence on the 10th anniversary of his episcopal consecration.
