DECR Chairman meets with the Primate and Members of the Synod of the Assyrian Church of the East

On September 28, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, who is on a visit to Iraq, met with the members of the Holy Synod of the Assyrian Church of the East, headed by its Primate.

Earlier that same day, in the morning, at the invitation of His Holiness Catholicos Mar Awa III of the Assyrian Church, Metropolitan Anthony attended the Divine Liturgy celebrated by His Holiness in the Church of St. John the Forerunner and Prophet in the Christian quarter of Ankawa in the city of Erbil.
