Editorial board of Church and Time journal meets in Moscow

On 1^st July, the editorial board of the Church and Time journal held its regular meeting on the premises of the Education Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church in St. Andrew’s Stavropegic Monastery in Moscow.

Presiding over the meeting were the editorial board co-chairs – Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, and Archpriest Maxim Kozlov, rector of Saints Cyril and Methodius Theological Institute of Postgraduate Studies. The reformed editorial board includes the rectors of the Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sretenskaya Theological Academies, senior staff members of the DECR and the Theological Institute of Postgraduate Studies, and the rectors of the Moscow Diocese theological seminaries. Archpriest Nikolai Balashov, advisor to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’, is also an editorial board member.

The participants in the meetings discussed various editorial and administrative matters and approved Issue No. 109 for printing, website of the Theological Institute reports. They also examined the papers to be published in the next issue, which focus on such traditional for the journal topics as theology, history of the Church and others.

The editorial board members approved the articles for the next issue and discussed the matter of the journal’s wider distribution, first of all, in the educational field within the Russian Orthodox Church.

With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’, the journal founded in 1991 is now published under the auspices of the Department for External Church Relations and Saints Cyril and Methodius Theological Institute of Postgraduate Studies. For over thirty years since its foundation, more than 100 issues of the Church and Time journal have come out.

The journal papers are regularly published in the Russian Science Citation Index database.
