Memorial service for victims of 22nd June terrorist attack took place in St. Ignatius Church in Damascus
On June 25th, the memorial Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Church of the Holy Hieromartyr Ignatius the God-Bearer at the Representation of the Russian Orthodox Church in Damascus in commemoration of the innocent people who had died in the terrorist attack on Mar Elias Church in Damascus on June 22nd.
The divine service was celebrated by Archimandrite Philip (Vasiltsev), Representative of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’ to the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East.
During the Litany of Fervent Supplication, special petitions were offered, and Father Philip read a pray for the Holy Rus’.
The Divine Liturgy was followed by a litiya. Father Philip prayed for the repose of the souls of all the victims of the terrorist attack on Mar Elias Church.
