Orthodox Youth Camp takes place in the Philippines

On 25th May 2025, a week-long Orthodox Youth Camp held on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines came to an end.
The event brought together teenagers and young people aged 15 to 25 from four deaneries, website of the Diocese of the Philippines and Vietnam reports. The person in charge was Deacon Dimitri Cahilig, chairman of the Diocesan Youth Department.
In the course of the week, the young people were studying Orthodox Christian doctrine and the Holy Scripture, learning church singing and reading, preparing together for the sacraments of Communion and Confession, and talking to the clergy about the matters of interest to them.
The camp programme also included sporting competitions and creative activities. For example, the young people made models of Orthodox churches with their own hands.
