Delegation of the Serbian Orthodox Church arrives in Moscow headed by His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia

On April 21, at the invitation of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’, His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia arrived in Moscow.
The Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church is accompanied on his trip by: Archbishop Irinej of Novi Sad and Metropolitan of Bačka, Archimandrite Hariton (Pavlica), Abbot of the Kovilj Monastery, Protopresbyter Georgije Stojisavljević, Head of the Office of the Serbian Patriarch, Protodeacon Radomir Vručinić, Rector of the Saint Sava Seminary in Belgrade, Protodeacon Radoica Žagran, Hierodeacon Justin (Živanić), a resident of the Kovilj Monastery, Deacon Ivan Vasiljević, as well as subdeacons D. Nakić and V. Elič.
At Sheremetyevo Airport, the distinguished guests were welcomed by: Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, and Miroslav Babić, Ambassador of Serbia to the Russian Federation.
Also participating in welcoming the delegation were: Bishop Stefan of Remeziana, Representative of the Serbian Patriarch to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’, Archpriest Nikolay Balashov, Advisor to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’, Archpriest Igor Yakimchuk, Deputy Chairman of the DECR, Hegumen Feofan (Lukyanov), Head of the DECR Protocol Section, A.Yu. Khoshev, staff member of the DECR Secretariat for Inter-Orthodox Relations, G. Božić, Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of Serbia, and V. Milović, Counselor of the Embassy.
Upon the delegation’s arrival in Russia, a telephone conversation took place between the Primates of the Russian and Serbian Orthodox Churches, during which His Holiness Patriarch Kirill warmly welcomed His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije.
