Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem receives a group of pilgrims led by the head of Nizhny Novgorod Metropolia

On April 10th, Metropolitan Georgy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas, accompanied by Abbess Sergiya (Konkova) of the Holy Trinity and St. Seraphim Convent in Diveyevo, and a large group of pilgrims from the Nizhny Novgorod region, visited the Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
In the Small Throne Hall of the Patriarchate, the guests were warmly received by His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All Palestine, website of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem reports.
The participants in the meeting exchanged memorable gifts. Metropolitan Georgy presented to Patriarch Theophilos an icon of St. Seraphim of Sarov and four icons painted for the Monastery of St. Gerasimus of the Jordan. Mother Sergiya presented to His Beatitude the “Tenderness” Icon of the Mother of God. Patriarch Theophilos personally greeted and gave his Primatial blessing to each pilgrim.
Among those who took part in the meeting were also Archimandrite Vassian (Zmeyev), head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem, and Hegumen Nikon (Golovko), deputy head of the Mission.
