DECR representative attends concert performed for the International Holocaust Remembrance Day

On January 23, a concert by Israeli composer and pianist Amit Weiner took place in Moscow. It was dedicated to the memory of the Holocaust victims and events.
The event was organized by the diplomatic missions of Israel and Germany in Russia and timed to the International Holocaust Remembrance Day established by the United Nations. The concert was opened by H.E. Simona Halperin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to the Russian Federation, and H.E. Alexander Graf Lambsdorff, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Russian Federation.
The guests were invited to the exhibition entitled "Art in the Years of Holocaust" that featured works created by artists during their stay in concentration camps.
Attending the concert with the blessing of Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, was deacon Sergei Nesterov of the DECR Secretariat for Interreligious Relations.
