Head of Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem participates in common prayer meeting with His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilus.

On 8^th January on the feast of the Synaxis of the Most Holy Mother of God in Jerusalem archimandrite Vassian (Zmeyev) visited the monastery church of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem in honour of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Constantine and Helena where together with His Beatitude the Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilus he prayed at the Divine Liturgy.

Also praying in church were numerous bishops and clergy of the Greek Orthodox Church of Jerusalem, clergy of the Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre, inmate of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission hieromonk Peter (Borodulin) and many pilgrims fr om the Christian communities of Jerusalem and the surrounding cities and towns.

The hymns for matins and the Liturgy were sung by the singers of the Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre, reports the website of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission.

At the conclusion of the Liturgy archimandrite Vassian, together with a procession of clergy, entered the Great Throne Hall pf the Patriarchate of Jerusalem wh ere a festive reception was held.
