Diocese of Thailand provides charity aid to children with cancer
DECR Communications Service, 18.12.2024.
On December 16, with the blessing of Metropolitan Sergiy of Singapore and Southeast Asia, Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia and temporary administrator the Thai Diocese, archimandrite Oleg (Cherepanin), secretary of the Diocese, visited the cancer ward in the Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health in Bangkok, the capital of the Kingdom of Thailand.
The parishes of the Thai Diocese collected and donated humanitarian aid to children who are receiving inpatient treatment at the hospital. Also, at the request of the medical staff, thermo pots, water coolers, microwave ovens, and other necessary items were purchased. More than fifty children were given soft toys, and their parents received financial assistance.
The medical staff and families of the little patients expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the aid. This charity event has been held over the last fifteen years, the Exarchate’s Telegram channel reports.
